Flexible space offers growth opportunities Flexible managed space offers growth opportunities in the commercial property market, the BusinesCentre Association's (bca) chief executive has said.

Jennifer Brooke is confident about the future of the sector, which is out-performing others in commercial property.

"Flexible managed space providers report continued strong growth across both office and light industrial space, bucking the trend in the wider commercial property market," she said.

Her claims came at the start of the bca's conference and exhibition, which features entrepreneur and panelist on BBC's Dragon's Den, James Caan.

Members of the bca provide flexible spaces at 670 locations around the UK, used mostly by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Ms Brooke was confident about future growth, which she estimated at around five per cent "as increasing numbers of SMEs and start-up businesses choose the flexibility offered by business centre locations".

The commercial property sector has faced difficulties following a prolonged credit shortage.
