London top for wireless connection

London top for wireless connection London is the top rated city in the world for the business use of wireless internet, according to iPass.

The mobility management company reported that since the capital became top of the list in the second half of 2007, the trend has continued.

Offices in London reported 31,842 sessions, an increase of 27 per cent on the beginning of 2007.

Pierot De Paoli, director of global product marketing at Ipass told ZDNet.co.uk: "London has been the top city for a while, by quite a margin."

London had over 11,000 more wi-fi sessions than the second ranked city, Singapore, which saw 20,333 sessions for the first half of 2008.

Canary Wharf and Chelsea topped the list of density, with Heathrow coming third in a list of well connected airports, beaten by Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International and O'Hare in Chicago.

London has over 1,300 wireless hotspots, compared to Singapore which has about 1,100.
