Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, best known as the founder of budget airline easyJet, is to expand his serviced offices business by purchasing another 20 to 25 properties in London.
easyOffice is designed to cater for entrepreneurs and small businesses by offering short-term leases of anything from a single day to up to a year. Prices start as low as £70 per person per month – the same that many companies were paying per square foot for prime office space two years ago.
Devono have been tasked with the acquisition of the new properties, timed to make the most of current prices. The situation is ideal for individuals and small start-ups, who are not even required to pay a deposit. Devono’s founder Robert Leigh stated, ‘easyOffice is trying not to significantly dent companies’ budgets who are starting up, to give the economy what it needs and get people working again.’
