6 London serviced offices you absolutely need to see…

Serviced and co-working offices in London just get better all the time – in every sense. You want an iconic address? Chances are that the building you have your eye on features a healthy chunk of serviced space. How about the type of environment that will put a spring in the step of your workforce and show clients that you’ve arrived? That’s precisely what the best providers are offering.

From cool and quirky to timeless grandeur, whatever your ‘thing’, there’s a serviced office in the capital with your name on it. Here at DeVono our job is simple: get to grips with what our clients want and find the perfect space to match via our providers. We’re constantly uncovering great new offices and providers of serviced space – here are six of our favourites…

Old Street

The lowdown
This office sits just a few steps away from Old Street’s Silicon Roundabout. It is a former warehouse transformed into what architect Ben Adams describes as a “bespoke building for tech city; a workplace, somewhere to meet, learn and to grow your company”. A sky-lit reception and bar dominates the ground floor. The upper levels feature space that’s ideal for up-and-coming businesses along with not one but two roof gardens.

Why we love it
This is the exact opposite of a ‘same-old’ warehouse conversion. The designers have gone for a 1920s Chicago speakeasy vibe and they’ve carried it off in style. There’s some really clever use of space too; especially the old underground substation transformed into a screening area.

It’s perfect for… entrepreneurs and up-and-coming businesses who want to be at the centre of Tech City. With spaces offered on one month rolling contracts, it’s a smart way of tapping into everything that Old Street can do for your business – but without a long-term commitment.

St Paul’s

The lowdown
Sitting on its own island right next to St Paul’s Cathedral, this space epitomises 5-star luxury office accommodation. Serviced offices comprise of 70 suites, four meeting rooms, two interview rooms, market-leading tech and full support.

Why we love it
This office space goes to show that a building doesn’t have to feature 50-plus floors to be truly iconic. This building is light, airy and offers 360-degree views across the City.

It’s perfect for… businesses who desire an address at the heart of the city – and one that oozes professionalism and discretion. It doesn’t come cheap, but it’s been described by Lord Sugar as “the finest office space in London” – and we’d be hard pressed to come up with reasons to disagree.

Chelsea

The lowdown
One of the most recognisable buildings in London, it dates back to 1911 when it opened its doors as the new HQ for the Michelin Tyre Company. Now sympathetically restored, the wonderfully eccentric early-modern exterior looks as good as new. The space inside is completely up to date: 47 serviced office suites, along with six meeting rooms and what has to be one of the most pleasant office roof terraces in London.

Why we love it
From the kitchen and other break-out areas through to the meeting areas and executive lounge, the look and feel is totally individual and in keeping with the theme of the building.

It’s perfect for… an office space that’s going to make a lasting impression on your clients, this building ticks all the right boxes.

London Bridge

The lowdown
This elegant blade of a skyscraper is London’s freshest and most dramatic landmark. To offer serviced office space, the provider went as high as they could, taking levels 24 and 25 (the highest office floor is level 28). Working with architects, Archer Humphreys, a business centre has been created,  featuring a variety of sizes of office spaces as well as lounges, co-working space and kitchen/dining areas.

Why we love it
There are those amazing views, of course – and the designers have been careful to really make the most of them, while still providing an intimate and welcoming environment. What’s more, for overlooking the city skyline, this development has one of London’s best breakout areas.

It’s perfect for… someone who wants a globally-recognised address and a workspace to be proud of.

Bloomsbury

The lowdown
Housed within a magnificent Georgian terrace complete with grand bay windows, juliette balcony and a view across the gardens, the impression from the outside is one of timeless elegance. Yet there’s nothing ‘staid’ about this offering. Serviced space, meeting rooms, board rooms, breakout space – with everything style-led: everything is geared towards a young and exciting enterprise community.

Why we love it
Think less in terms of a serviced office and more along the lines of a creative community. This is a space that’s designed to inspire – and it works completely.

It’s perfect for… companies looking for a workspace with a creative buzz around it and a platform that’s dressed to impress clients.

Monument

The lowdown

The theme is completely nautical with these serviced offices – which even goes as far as to feature finer details from  luxury yacht maker Sunseeker. Stand-out features include a reception desk shaped like a boat hull, 700 workstations and a selection of stylish meeting rooms.

Why we love it

From the galley kitchen through to the amazing roof terrace, the exclusive yacht theme works wonderfully.

It’s perfect for… businesses looking for a blend of status and individual style. Is your client likely to arrive late and jetlagged? There are five serviced bedrooms available on-site.
