A new online business portal has been launched to help London companies bid for new contracts linked to the Olympics.
The new site is designed to match companies to the needs of The Olympic Delivery Authority and London Organising Committee, together they are estimated to be offering 75,000 business opportunities worth £6 billion.
CompeteFor has been developed by the London Development Agency (LDA), London Business Network and London 2012 – according to Manny Lewis, chief executive of the LDA, it will "open up the 2012 supply chain for London businesses".
"Developing and launching this website before the majority of contracts are advertised shows how the LDA and the 2012 Games are already delivering a lasting legacy for the capital," she said.
Commercial property in London could benefit from the redevelopment of large parts of the west end.
The Olympics will provide a boost to the economy, advertise the potential of London to commercial property buyers and hopefully, bring the British Team some medals.
