Westfield has announced its new £1.6 billion shopping centre will be ready in time for Christmas, Property Week has reported.
The developer has taken the first step in handing over the project with Marks and Spencer beginning the fit out of its part of the development.
Its new store covers three separate floors and has a combined area of 157,000 sq ft of retail space.
The retailer and developer have worked together on a separate business property.
Michael Gutman, managing director of Westfield UK & Europe explained: "M&S at Westfield London will be the second M&S store to open from our UK development pipeline and follows its successful launch at Westfield Derby last October."
Retail property is often developed alongside city offices, as many customers prefer to not drive to out of town locations.
