ADS Securities, the Emirati FX brokerage, has opened a new London office to operate its London investment banking and asset management department.
The opening of the office comes after this move to develop London operations in this sector since the opening of ADS securities London Ltd in December, last year. The company’s current office is located on Old Broad Street along with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) just outside the City of London borough.
An official opening ceremony was hosted by ADS managing director, James Watson, to mark the expansion.
The new London office follows on from the company buying British FX company, Pioneer Trader Ltd, and consequently re-branding as ADS Securities London Limited or ADS London.
Parent company, ADS Holding LLC, based in Abu Dhabi, obtained Pioneer Trader earlier this year, after which the management team of Pioneer Trader decided to re-name the company ADS London.
James Watson joined the business as managing director towards the end of last year and came from Thomson Reuters as the head of foreign exchange transactions for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He will now develop market share and position whilst expanding his team of 20 whilst it establishes new technologies and expands its range of products.
