Please can you introduce yourself, and tell us how long you have been at DeVono for?

My name is Megan Lyons, I’ve been at DeVono for over 4 months now!

Tell us a bit about your background and family – it could be culture related, religion or anything else?

I have quite a large family, I have 2 sisters and a brother, and we live with both of our parents so you could say it’s a bit of a mad house! My family and I have an Irish background and in Ireland I have an uncountable amount of cousins

What does your culture / background / religion mean to you?

My Background means a lot to me, I’ve attended Catholic schools throughout my life I believe that it has allowed me to learn how to respect others, shape my values and taught me how to see other perspectives on certain things.

What was it like growing up, were you always in the UK, or did you live abroad at all?

I’ve lived in the UK all my life, I would say that being in such a multicultural place has allowed me to experience people’s different religions, cultures and practices, considering my group of friends have very diverse backgrounds I feel as if I’ve been educated on a lot of things outside of my own religion and personal experiences.

What brought you to where you are today?

What has allowed me to be where I am today is the support of my family and friends telling me to just put myself out there and work hard, which motivated me to get the qualifications I wanted out of college!

And finally, how would you summarise DeVono in one word?
