Bovis Lend Lease has appointed a new head of UK operations, Peter Varga.
Mr Varga will report to chief executive Nick Pollard and will run all seven of the firm’s business units.
The developer is currently building the athletes’ accommodation in preparation for the London 2012 Olympics.
“Peter’s appointment will complement the drive to improve planning, cost planning and design management skills and will be focusing on the project review process across the UK business,” a company spokeswoman told industry publication, Building.
The Olympic build has been heavily scrutinised after Lend Lease struggled to raise investment funds.
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has been forced to contribute additional money to keep the project on track.
Despite this, Lend Lease and the ODA have announced the foundations of the Olympic Village are now complete.
It is hoped some of the cost of the Games will be off-set by the sale of new commercial property built to support the event.
