Paris-based asset management firm Carmignac Gestion has announced that it is opening a new London office, according to an article published by Investment Europe.
Located at 29 Cornhill, the decision to open the office is said to represent the company’s long-term commitment to the United Kingdom.
The office will initially launch with a team of four – with more staff members set to be recruited throughout the remainder of the year.
Carmignac Gestion has stated that it hopes that by establishing itself in the UK market, it will strengthen its relationships with private banks, institutional clients and wealth managers.
Managing director at Carmignac Gestion, Eric HelderlÃ©, stated that the sophistication and depth of the asset management industry made the UK an important market.
He added: “Strategically, it’s an opportune time to set up in London given the changing framework of retail distribution. The London office is a significant milestone in our strategy of paced European expansion aimed at promoting customer choice and open architecture.”
