Cogent Consulting has opened a new marketing, sales and support office in London – as demand for its trading and research commission management and payment systems increases in Europe and the UK.
The company has named Mr Glen Wilson as its director of European Business Development, and he will head up the new US firm’s new offices in London.
"Commission sharing arrangements (CSAs) are as hot as they have ever been in the UK, and that’s spreading to the rest of Europe," Robin Hodgkins, president of Cogent, commented.
"Soft dollars no longer are being used in the UK, so everybody is using CSAs. France is eliminating soft dollars as of January 2008, so the CSA market there is about to explode."
