Commercial property that has had a ‘green makeover’ offers real benefits to businesses, new research has claimed.
By taking an environmental approach to their offices in London, firms can save money and cut their tax bills, according to a new white paper produced by office design group, Morgan Lovell.
‘Ten Business Reasons to green your office’ claims employees can also get involved by recycling.
“You’ll save paper and reduce your costs, so there’s the potential to save even more money,” it said.
Other benefits of going green can help firms stay on the right side of legislation, avoid negative press and improve their brand and competitiveness.
Taking an environmental approach when moving city offices “offers real, practical business benefits – for your people, your profits and your reputation”, Morgan Lovell claimed.
Architects are increasingly including eco-friendly technologies and designs in their plans.
The City of London’s own report into sustainable skyscraper design concluded buildings in the City “can be made more sustainable by architecture that responds to the conditions of a site with integrated structure and building services”.
