One of the most talked about offices in London, the spectacular building located at 20 Fenchurch Street, dubbed the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building, still hasn’t secured a pre-let deal – just over nine months since its construction began.
However, despite this Land Securities has announced that work will continue to deliver the 690,000 sq ft of office space – offering 360° of London sky scape on every floor.
Designed by renowned Uruguayan architect, Rafael Viñoly, the property is set to feature office space of an A grade standard.
The project currently has a completion date of 2014.
Chief Executive for Land Securities, Francis Salway stated: “Work on site at this joint venture with Canary Wharf Group continues, with a commitment to deliver the scheme in spring 2014.
“Of the new office towers planned for the City, we expect our building to be the first to complete and that the supply of office space around this time will not be as great as some forecasts predict,” Mr. Salway went on to add.
