Derwent London has unveiled plans for a redevelopment project that will see new offices in London created.
The redevelopment – which will commence next year – will see around 265,000 sq ft of new office space created at the buildings located at 132-142 Hampstead Road – which are former warehouses.
To bring the properties up to office space standard, architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris have created a design – aimed at giving the building a landmark status – that will see new openings created for windows, a new insulated skin and a “sky box” extension added to the existing structure.
Developer Derwent has also received planning permission for 12-storey residential property which will complete the Hampstead Road development. Construction on this building is set to begin in 2012.
Located next to Euston Station, the buildings are expected to provide a fantastic view, spanning across the centre of London.
The project is expected to cost the developer around Â£52 million.
