In recognition of the challenges startups and small businesses face in securing premises and negotiating leases and agreements, Nwes, one of the largest not-for-profit enterprise agencies in the UK and the London Growth Hub delivered by the LEAP in association with the Mayor of London launched a series of workshops, masterclasses and panel discussions to give small businesses access to advice from industry experts in relation to the negotiation of commercial leases.
Chris Lewis, Head of Office Agency and Consultancy and Ben Ashby, Associate Director and Surveyor at DeVono Cresa, joined fellow real estate and legal industry experts in two sessions hosted in February 2018 to offer a property advice Service to startups in central London.
During each session the panel covered key real estate issues pertaining to the current market as well as associated challenges facing today’s startups and SME’s; these included common issues that arise when looking for a commercial lease, the fundamentals needed to ensure the process is as streamlined as possible and targeted advice on lease negotiation points.
The attendees were then able to ask more specific questions in relation to their business needs.
