Professional services firm EY has agreed to sign up for 207,000 sq ft of Canary Wharf office space at 25 Churchill Place.
The firm has struck up an agreement with Canary Wharf Group to take up the London office on the 14th to 21st floors of the 21 storey building on a 25 year lease.
Canary Wharf Group chairman and chief executive, Sir George Iacobescu, said: “We have a long professional association with EY and are very pleased that they have chosen to lease space at 25 Churchill Place.
“This transaction builds on the strong representation of professional services firms already at Canary Wharf and, with EY sharing the building with the EMA, demonstrates just how attractive Canary Wharf is for firms from all sectors.”
25 Churchill Place is currently under construction and is set to be completed later this year. It is the last building of the area’s original masterplan and is set to be one of the most energy efficiency buildings on the entire estate.
EY Chief Operating Officer, Robin Tye, added: “Our expansion into Canary Wharf in 2015 is another investment that supports EY’s ambitious growth plans as we continue to recruit staff in response to a growing demand from our clients for business advice.
As part of the deal, Canary Wharf Group will take ownership of EY’s lease at Beckett House from July 1, 2015.
