Just days after receiving planning permission for the 1.2 million square foot Principal Place development, developers Hammerson have announced that tenants are queuing up.
The company said leading law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP has already enquired about locating its London offices in the building.
The development will include a project to restore the Light Bar Building at 233 Shoreditch High Street, and the planning consent from the London Borough of Hackney comes just after Hammerson bought a 999-year lease at Bishopgate for Â£100m.
Principal Place will be a flagship development for Hammerson, featuring a single 16-storey, 620,000 sq ft office tower.
Alongside the offices, there will be a residential-only tower featuring space for 243 apartments.
CMS Cameron McKenna is in discussions about taking a 200,000 sq ft slice of the office development.
