Travel firm Flight Centre’s business travel division Corporate Traveller UK has opened a fifth London office as its business continues to expand at a massive rate.
The move comes as the firm revealed an impressive £35m growth in turnover in only 12 months, taking its annual turnover to more than £200m. The firm also hired eight new operational teams to help with the impressive level of expansion.
The new London office is based close to Waterloo and will be home to 25 consultants, with the capacity for another 35.
Under TMC, a firm Flight Centre acquired earlier this year, the company also has London offices in Vauxhall, Clerkenwell, Wimbledon and Farringdon.
As a specialist travel management company, its Corporate Traveller enterprise has helped create new business to boost overall turnover significantly.
Flight Centre UK general manager, Graeme Milne, said: “The amount of new business we have won over the last year, particularly in London and the southeast, meant that we had run out of operational space in our existing offices, hence our expansion into substantial new premises at Waterloo.”
Flight Centre plans to open a sixth London office within the next year and a half as it pushes to meet a self-imposed £240m turnover target by June 2015.
