Gulf Petrochem has announced the appointment of its new global head of bunkering, Neil Lamerton, alongside a new London office space.
This development comes as part of the company’s global expansion strategy. Gulf Petrochem stated that London is the most strategic location for them to move into the European and West African markets.
Their newly appointed global head of bunkering will be based in the new London office to manage the company’s pre-existing bunkering business throughout India, Singapore and UAE.
Lamerton will also be responsible for driving growth within the global bunkering business.
Director, Prerit Goel, stated: “Neil fills a strategically important role with Gulf Petrochem, and we’re delighted that he has joined the group bringing with him all the necessary technical expertise which is particularly valuable as we develop GP’s international footprint in the bunker industry.”
Neil Lamerton added, “Gulf Petrochem has seen tremendous growth prospects as it has positioned itself as an asset backed physical supplier and trader.”
Lamerton has been given the task of increasing their network of suppliers outside of their established network.
It is reported that Gulf Petrochem is considerin further expansion into the Gulf of Khambat using its Pipavav Oil Terminal Project to lay down the groundwork.
