Toy company K’Nex has unveiled plans to open new London offices at the start of next year (2014).
Founded in America, the company specialises in manufacturing construction toy sets, which can be interlocked together to form buildings, machines and other models.
Its toys and sets are currently distributed in the UK by Japanese manufacturer, Tomy.
However, the new office will allow K’Nex to distribute its own products in the country.
The London office opening will also coincide with a historic landmark for the company; 2014 will mark the 20th year of K’Nex on the UK market.
Speaking about the company’s plans, as well as the new London office space, president and CEO of K’Nex Brands, Michael Araten, stated: “Over the past several years, K’Nex has grown by leaps and bounds in the United States.
“In addition to popular core K’Nex products, we have introduced many successful licenses that are popular worldwide.
“As we monitored activity in our international markets, I became increasingly confident that the success measures instituted by our outstanding US sales and marketing team could continue to encourage growth in other countries, too,” Mr Araten continued.
He also added that the toy manufacturer was excited about the prospect of working with UK retailers and consumers.
The offices will officially open on January 1.
