Russian computer security company Kaspersky Lab has revealed that its new offices in London will become its European headquarters.
The office, situated in Paddington, is set to open next month (October), and will accommodate around 100 members of staff. These staff will be responsible for operating Kaspersky’s European and global functions currently based in the United Kingdom.
However, rather than moving employees in one large move, Moscow-based Kaspersky has revealed that the UK sales and marketing teams would be the first to move into the new building, whilst various other teams would follow in the coming two years.
Speaking ahead of the move, Alexander Moiseev, Kaspersky Lab Europe’s managing director, stated: “UK growth and increased presence is a key focus for the business.”
“The move to make the UK operation more prominent is testament to the importance the company places on the UK and European markets.”
Mr Moiseev went onto add the company had added and promoted staff members in preparation for the opening of the new office.
He said: “A flagship office in the thick of the business centre of London, together with these new appointments, will bring us closer.”
“Having UK, European and global functions in one dynamic new office will aid synergy and integration across the business, resulting in an all-round better customer experience.”
