Land Securities receive planning permission for office project

Property investment company, Land Securities, has received a huge boost with the announcement that it can commence with its plans to redevelop Kingsgate House – a move that will provide 203,000 sq ft of office space in London – having been granted planning permission by Westminster City Council.

Located on Victoria Street, Kingsgate House is currently made up of one office block; however the redevelopment will see two brand new buildings created providing office space of an A grade standard.

The project will also provide 102 residential apartments with a courtyard – construction of which currently has a completion date of 2015.

Head of Development for Land Securities’ London Portfolio, Colette O’Shea commented, giving an overall view on the project.

She said: “Victoria is changing. We began our transformation of the area with Cardinal Place and we are already on site at three other schemes.

“Kingsgate House is another key stage in our plans to create the new West End destination.”
