International publishing firm Macmillan Publishers Ltd has agreed aÂ deal to lease around 82,500 sq ft of office space in London, according to an article published by Property Magazine International.
The office space is located in the final phase of Henderson Global Investors and Istithmar P&O Estates’ Regent Quarter development at King’s Cross.
The deal will see Macmillan take separate 15 year leases on each of the two office buildings at the development. The offices are set to be completed to a high standard, with a BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) rating of excellent targeted.
In addition to the 82,500 sq ft of office space, Macmillan will also take on a small restaurant, as well as four apartments at the development. It is thought that the apartments will serve the company’s employees – many of which it is relocating to the capital from Basingstoke and Oxford.
Construction on the development is already well under way and is expected to be completed by 2013.
