British Land is set to award a contract to construct new London offices to McLaren Construction, according to an article published by Construction Enquirer.
McLaren is said to have beaten competition from the likes of Bam Construction and Wates for the contract to work on Marble Arch House.
A mixed-use project designed by Bennett’s Associates Architects, Marble Arch House will provide 75,000 sq ft of London office space, as well as ten luxury apartments, a 5,000 sq ft restaurant and retail space.
Marble Arch House was originally purchased by British Land in January last year from The Portman Estate.
Work on the building is scheduled for completion during the mid-point of next year (2013).
Head of offices at British Land, Tim Roberts, said, when the building was originally acquired: “Marble Arch House will offer high-quality accommodation at a time when supply will be limited in a West End location, which is being regenerated.”
