Legal & General and Mitsubishi have launched their mixed-use central London office space development Central St Giles. The new building is in a prime location in London’s West End, near to Covent Garden and Soho.
The development brings 400,000 square feet of office space to the capital alongside homes, apartments, cafes and restaurants. The Central St Giles Partnership have confirmed that the on site-restaurants will include seafood, Turkish, Italian and Japanese-style establishments.
Designed by architect Renzo Piano, the development is covered in 134,000 coloured ceramic tiles in yellow, orange, green and red. The environmental credentials, including biomass boilers and facilities to utilise 60 percent of rainwater, have led to a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
Representatives from both Mitsubishi and Legal & General have expressed satisfaction with the project, ‘The end result is one of the best places to work in London.’
