Movie giants moving to London

Movie studio Miramax has announced it is set to open its first international office in London.

The Hollywood giant has appointed Joe Patrick to lead its worldwide sales division, with Danny Goldman joining Patrick’s team as senior vice president and head of sales for Europe.

Goldman will be based at Miramax’s new London offices, which will open late in September in Covent Garden.

The move underlines London’s continuing reputation as a top destination for international companies.

Miramax’s chief executive officer, Mike Lang, said the move would help Miramax strike new deals in Europe.

“Danny brings tremendous experience and strong relationships, and we are thrilled that he will lead our London office day-to-day,” he said.

“Opening the London office as our European hub is an important step in our company’s evolution and we are thrilled to have a presence on the ground.”
