Neil Hudgell Solicitors is the latest law firm to open a new London office.
The personal injury specialists have opted for a new office in the capital after purchasing personal injury work from another law firm, Harris Cartier, which has closed.
The firm will move into a new Chancery Lane office and its team will comprise of ten former Harris Cartier staff, set to be led by Kent Pattinson, who is a catastrophic injury specialist.
Harris Cartier directors Karen McCarthy and Chris Gooderidge will join Pattinson, along with five other lawyers as well as two other support staff.
Neil Hudgell Solicitors managing director, Neil Hudgell, said: “The type of cases we’re acquiring and the skills and knowledge of the new additions to our legal team fit with our increasing focus on complex, high value personal injury and medical negligence cases.”
Hudgell is also optimistic the London office could grow by up to ten more people following acquisitions in the South-East.
He added: “London made economic sense because of the business generated via our internet investment over the past few years and because of the Harris Cartier opportunity.”
The business was already seen growth of 30% through online investment, helped in no small by about 25% of that income coming from the capital. Although it has no plans for expanding to other offices across the country, the idea has not been ruled out entirely by the firm according to Hudgell.
