UK construction company Rok has promoted group people director Robin Olorenshaw to the newly established post of chief operations officer.
A reshuffle of the firm’s board has also seen its operations director, John Samuel, step down.
Rok’s chairman Stephen Pettit said: “Rob’s appointment to the Rok executive management team is an excellent addition and we are confident that he will help to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the business.”
Teams from Rok provide new build, maintenance and refurbishment services for more than 60 offices across the UK.
The company was originally established in the West Country, but through a series of acquisitions it established a strategy to become the ‘nation’s local builder’.
Government plans to improve the payments for construction contracts are to be put before the House of Lords this week.
The Queen has set out the government’s legislative plans for the coming 12 months and details of changes to construction law will be announced on Friday, Building has reported.
