Nouvel awarded New City Architecture Award for ‘One New Change’ London

One New Change, the London office building designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and the London/Birmingham-based firm Sidell Gibson Architects, has won the New City Architecture Award at an annual ceremony hosted by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects.

Judged by a distinguished panel, the award is typically awarded to the building that has made the biggest contribution to London’s streetscape.

The ceremony, held at Haberdashers’ Hall, saw Sidell Gibson Architects’ Ron Sidell collect the award. It was the 14th award in total given to the new London office building at One New Change.

Upon collecting the award Mr Sidell said: “This is a fantastic and unexpected tribute to Jean Nouvel who can’t be with us tonight and is a major compliment to this collaboration and best practice model.

“We are especially pleased to win this award, as we see it as recognition for a magnificent building from our fellow architects – a hard crowd to please,” he concluded.
