OMV Group is set to move into a London office as its UK headquarters it has been revealed.
The international oil and gas business is set to move into 20,643 sq ft of London office space at 62 Buckingham Gate – located in Victoria.
OMV is Austria’s largest listed industrial company and joins the likes of Rolls Royce, The Bill & Merinda Gates Foundation and World Fuel Services at the building. Food outlet Benugo and the food company Leon are also located on the site.
In a statement Land Securities declared: “The arrival of OMV will reinforce Victoria’s growing reputation as one of the West End’s most sought after destinations for office, retail and residential space.”
Land Securities head of leasing, Kaela Fenn-Smith, added: “OMV’s decision to relocate its UK head office to 62 Buckingham Gate is testament to the building’s exceptional office space and increasingly prestigious location.
“We are delighted to see a variety of leading international businesses recognising the appeal of Victoria, including high growth firms from the oil and gas sector.”
Designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, the building is now 63% let following the signing of OMV Group. Independent cinema chain, Curzon, will also open a new five-screen cinema at the building in May.
