American online auction platform Proxibid has opened new offices in London.
The company has seen its presence in the UK and Europe grow significantly over the past couple of years, and although its president and CEO, Ryan Downs, acknowledged that its presence in the continent was still being established, he stated that the opening of new London office would leave it well positioned for further growth.
Two members of staff from its Omaha office have already moved to work from the new London office, whilst more will join them in the coming months.
Based in Omaha, Proxibid was founded in 2001 and also has employees based in New York and Georgia. It reported that its year-over-year revenue increase by 19 per cent in the first quarter of this year (2014).
Mr Downs described the move a major milestone in the company’s growth.
He told Silicon Prairie News: “It’s a big deal. We always aspired to be in the global market,” later adding: “This move enables us to better serve our existing UK and European buyers and sellers, and positions us to offer our unique portfolio of e-Commerce solutions and access our large global community of buyers to sellers throughout Europe.”
