A major refurbishment of London office space on the Southbank gets underway which will see 65 Southwark Street get completely re-vamped.
The work will begin now and is due to end in March 2012 and will see 575,000 square foot of space being developed.
Work will complete at The Shard according to a leading London office space provider and will face little competition when meeting demands for space outside the London Bridge quarter.
Commenting on the Southward Street scheme, Mike Probert said: “We feel extremely confident in building-out into the Southbank market.
“The pipeline is dry and will stay that way up to and beyond completion of 65 Southwark Street early next year.”
Figures suggest that demand remains high for office space in all areas of London and this refurbishment should help estate agents meet that demand head-on.
