UK gaming and messaging app firm Palringo has opened a London office.
The new office located in Shoreditch, is part of the firm’s strategy to increase its gaming focus in new markets.
Palringo CMO, Magnus Alm, said the firm felt London was the best place for its headquarters as a way of accelerating business growth and increasing market operations.
Alm stated: “We will be making significant announcements in Q1 next year and we are looking forward to joining and contributing to the vibrant network that is the London tech and gaming community”.
The firm was founded as a messaging application but has since involved into a group gaming platform.
Members use the app to meet other gamers, sharing tips on how to improve their gaming. The app is free to download on both iOS and Android.
Palringo generates revenue from mainly virtual goods and games which it sells through the app.
The app currently has over 20,000 gaming groups including the popular Minecraft and Clash of Clans.
Palringo is due to release 12 games in 2015, with hopes of establishing itself as a mobile games publisher.
Palringo currently has a games hub in Gothenburg, with UK offices in Newcastle and Ipswich where developer talent is strong.
