A major payment technology firm is set to move into a London office as part of plans to expand into the European market.
Greenphire, the leading provider of payment technologies for the clinical trials industry, has made the move into the UK capital a major part of its 2013 strategic plan.
The firm will be setting up its new London office at 1 East Poultry Avenue in the City of London area with the aim of supporting the increasing global demand for its products and services.
Greenphire founder and CEO, Sam Whitaker, said: “We are excited to execute on this key part of our 2013 strategic plan.
“Establishing our presence in Europe allows us to support our Enterprise clients in those areas where they conduct research and development, facilitates stronger support of the many clinical investigators conducting research on behalf of biopharmaceutical companies and provides a base from which we can grow our commercial presence in Europe.”
Greenphire has experienced a significant period of commercial and operational success over the last couple of years and the firm hopes the move to London will continue to build upon this period of success.
Its products include eClinicalGPS and ClinCard. Last year the number of staff on board at the firm doubled to more than 40 members, including the recruitment of its first UK-based staff member in preparation for the launch of its new London office.
