Perez-Llorca seeks internationalisation with opening of London office

Corporate and finance partner, Fernando Quicios leads Spanish firm, Perez-Llorca is to open a new London office to gain a place in what the firm refers to as, “Europe’s financial capital”.

However, the firm will not practise English law. It will instead advise international clients on Spanish law as part of their global operations plan.

Pedro Perez-Llorca stated that this aim of “internationalisation” is to offer all clients with a worldwide service for their projects. He also said the arrangements were made after realising “the demand we have seen from our clients, in particular in finance and capital markets. For this reason, it was necessary for us to be present in the financial capital of Europe”.

This will be the first office for the Spanish firm outside of Spain but the new London office will be its third alongside those in Barcelona and Madrid.

The location and size of the new London office is yet to be announced but the additional office will be finalised by the end of this year.

The new London office manager, Fernando Quicios said: “We believe that this opening will allow us to expand and bring our services closer to our international clients”.
