San Francisco-based software development and consultancy firm Pivotal Labs has opened a new London office.
Located at Bentima House, 168-172 Old Street, the new office is at the centre of the capital’s Tech City.
It’s opening is set to mark the start of £61.2 million of investment by Pivotal Labs in London’s growing technology community.
The office at Bentima House will primarily serve as the company’s headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Pivotal is set to work closely with Tech City’s community, as well as industry groups, to make its new office space available for use by others.
Commenting on the opening of the new office in London, the tech start-up’s CEO, Paul Maritz, stated: “Tech City is one of the most exciting technology eco-systems in the world right now, thanks to its fantastic and dynamic mix of talent, infrastructure and the active support of the UK government.”
Head for EMEA at Pivotal, Russell Acton, added: “Aside from the obvious infrastructure benefits of opening an office in London, one of crucial requirements was to be integrated into a community that didn’t just offer skills and inspiration, but was also somewhere that we could give back to in terms of shared knowledge and space.”
