Prince William to move into Diana’s former home Kensington Palace

It has been announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to make Kensington Palace, the former home of Diana, Princess of Wales, their official London residence.

However, it is understood that the Duke and Duchess will not be moving into the Princess’s old apartments, which are currently used as office space. Instead, they will have another apartment, which has until recently housed staff.

St James’s Palace confirmed that the couple will move into the “small” apartment at the Palace, which is also home to a number of other Royals. It is believed that some refurbishment will take place before the move to make the residence more comfortable, however these are said to be modest.

The move will be temporary, as the couple are believed to want a larger London residence in the long-term, in order to have the necessary space to begin a family and to entertain.
