Publishing giants combine London office space

Major publishers De Haske and Hal Leonard have combined their London office space to create a wholly owned subsidiary in Covent Garden.

According to Mark Mumford will continue in his role as European sales and marketing director for Hal Leonard after overseeing the company’s business since 2008.

Europe’s largest instrumental music publisher, De Haske will house their UK sales offices in the new premises as part of Hal Leonard.

“Following some major recent developments in our European business-such as the long-term print licensing of the EMI Music Publishing song-catalogue for Europe-we needed a more effective London location for our operations”, said Hal Leonard’s president, Larry Morton.

“Our Covent Garden office is ideally positioned for us to work more closely with our friends at Music Sales and our joint company, Hal Leonard Europe, and with some of our key partners to grow our business.

“Covent Garden is home to much music-making, from West End musicals and the Royal Opera House to a vibrant busking scene” added Mark.
