Three popular pubs at Victoria Station are set to close this year to make way for a new regeneration project set to start next September.
The Kings Arms on Buckingham Palace Road, The Stag on Bressenden Place and the Stage Door on Allington Street have all been bought via compulsory purchase orders by Westminster Council.
The regeneration project includes work on the London underground east side leaving many occupiers of the London office space needing relocation.
According to Westminster Council the project wants to increase development potential in the area which could mean increased housing or increased office space as well as opportunities for further retail space including shops and food or drink outlets.
A spokesman for Westminster Council said: “Together with an upgrade to the transport links in the area and a high-quality design, these changes will help strengthen London’s economy and promote economic growth and diversity.”
