A leading provider of legal services in the financial services industry has announced it is to move into a new London office.
The firm, Schulte Roth & Zabel, will move into the Crown Estate’s One Eagle Place in the West End area of London.
Schulte Roth & Zabel London practice head,Christopher Hilditch, said: “Our new, expanded office is the direct result of our team’s many successes in the London legal market, particularly in serving the world’s finest investment management firms.”
The firm will be moving into the same office building as investment firm Haymarket Financial, and will be joined in the future by finanial services firm Virgin Money, which is set to move into the premises in the near future and make it their new headquarters.
Nearly half of the 100 biggest hedge funds are represented by the company, as well as more than 3,000 investment funds across the globe.
Its team of more than 80 lawyers offer both UK and US legal advice to these funds to an array of countries including the Middle East, Singapore and Australia.
It is the European side of things the new office will focus particularly on, as Schulte Roth & Zabel chair of the firm’s executive committee and chair of the tax group, Alan S. Waldenberg, added: “From our new London office, we expect to further strengthen our European capabilities for our clients.”
Schulte Roth & Zabel has offices in London, Washington DC and New York. It specialises in providing suport to the financial services industry, offering advice on a number of topics including investment management and corporate and transactional matters.
