Portland cloud-based archiving platform, Smarsh plans to enter the overseas market with a new London office.
It is hoped that the location of the London office in the City of London, also known as the UK’s financial district, will be a good position for the firm to target both financial and public trading standard industries, developing further its current cloud-based offering in the UK.
Smarsh’s platform gives customers an oversight of electronic communications, enabling them to manage their communications better. The platform works across social media, instant messaging, email, mobile messaging and web content.
Smarsh business development director, Daniel Klein said opening an office in the increasingly growing and ever-evolving UK capital was the next logical move for building its business portfolio.
Klein added: “We have spent the last 13 years helping firms meet the stringent record-keeping and supervision obligations of the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. We look forward to sharing our extensive experience to help regulated companies in the UK.”
As well as its Portland headquarters, U.S. firm Smarsh currently has offices in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and New York.
At present, cloud-based firm Smarsh employs around 200 staff across its seven offices.
