Starting gun fires on Olympic offices

A new initiative has been launched to publicise 21,000 square feet of grade A office space along the riverside at London’s 6 Mitre Passage. The project, named ‘Destination Greenwich’, has been designed by Greenwich Council to promote the business scheme at Peninsula Central, which is currently under development.

The council hopes to raise awareness and secure new leases in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. Greenwich will be one of five London boroughs to host the games.

Peninsula Central is one of the most ambitious development projects to take place in the capital. In its finished form it will comprise a huge district with 10,000 new homes, 350,000 square feet of retail space, schools and community facilities, as well as almost 50 acres of parks and open space and its 3.5 million square feet business area. In keeping with the themes of the 2012 Olympics, the development is built to high standards of sustainability.
