U.S life insurance provider considering a new Canary Wharf home

Bloomberg News has recently reported that U.S life insurance company MetLife is considering a move to new London office space at Canada Square.

The move would potentially see them taking up top office space in Canary Wharf’s tallest building, seeing them relocate from two lower floors they occupy at One Canada Square.

The company have yet to confirm if the story is true and declined to comment at this stage but it would mean that 250 employees of the New York-based firm would be moving.

One Canada Square is already home to some of the largest companies worldwide including HSBC, Natwest, Clydesdale and the Canary Wharf Group.

Recent reports have suggested that there is a shortage in suitable London office space and the demand is continually rising so news of the U.S firm’s potential news comes as no surprise so that they can accommodate their workforce for the future.
