Yammer, a company that creates private social networks for businesses, has completed a move to new offices in London.
Situated in city’s technology hub, Tech City, Yammer’s new offices will act as a base for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sales, recruitment and marketing teams. The building will also house members of the company’s leadership team, as well as developers too.
The office was officially opened on September 18 by the Duke of York, who is currently promoting the technology industry in the UK.
Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, commented on Yammer’s Tech City office and also praised London’s ability to attract big names from the tech sector.
He said: “Yammer’s expansion in Tech City underlines again London’s position as Europe’s digital capital. London is a global magnet for high-tech giants alongside a growing cluster of exciting start-ups.
“This sector’s burgeoning growth is providing high value jobs for Londoners, as well supporting valuable supply chains. This all demonstrates the attractiveness of London as the world’s leading 21st century business city and a great place to invest,” he added.
