Would you pay £200 for some privacy at work?

Most companies are now opting for open-plan offices – whilst this is great for keeping the whole office as one, there are now more distractions than ever before. To have a private conversation or to get a bit of quiet time, solutions such as phone booths and curved seating options are usually the go-to choice… until now.

Last year Panasonic developed ‘Wear Space’ by partnering with a Japanese fashion designer.

‘Wear space’ is almost like human blinkers. The strip of flexible material wraps around the back of the head and covers the side of the eyes, blocking up to 60 percent of a wearer’s peripheral vision – this is designed to aid concentration by limiting your sense of sight and hearing via noise-cancelling technology which can be adjusted depending on the level of concentration you need.

Here at DeVono, we have Spotify connected via an iPad to allow us to have various genres of music playlists flowing through the office. To some this may seem like a cool idea but this could be a thing of the past.

Would you allow your employees to wear these around the office?
