Paddington, similar to other northern West End business districts has seen its development emanate from access to a rail station. Paddington was a formerly largely residential area that has in recent decades seen the growth of its business districts and attraction for commercial occupiers increase.

Bordered by Hyde Park to the south and Edgware Road to the east, this area has become a hub for students, office workers and the late-night economy alike. Connection to the new Crossrail line will further boost access to this part of London.
