Startups is the UK’s leading independent, online resource for anyone starting and growing a business.
Established in 2000, Startups.co.uk is the longest serving, largest and most comprehensive advice platform available covering everything you need to know to start, buy, run or sell a business.
With growing businesses accounting for a large portion of the DeVono Cresa client-base – joining forces with Startups as their commercial property partner seemed like the natural move for both parties.
DeVono Cresa has partnered with Startups.co.uk on the Young Guns initiative for a number of years. In 2016 we first sponsored the 2016 Young Guns Awards, where DeVono Cresa founder Robert Leigh presented the Golden Gun Award to SwiftKey’s Dr Ben Medlock MBE and Jon Reynolds MBE at 2016 Young Guns.
The haysmacintyre Top Gun title was awarded to Olivia Burton founders Jemma Fennings and Lesa Bennett.
2016 Startups Awards
DeVono Cresa was delighted to sponsor the 2016 Startups Awards which took place at the iconic Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on 17th November. Now in its thirteenth year, the Startups Awards has earned a reputation for unearthing some of the UK’s finest entrepreneurial businesses, and shining a spotlight on the start-up market.
Previous winners have gone on to enjoy phenomenal success, including BeatThatQuote.com, Ella’s Kitchen, Glasses Direct, The Book Depository, Naked Wines, Secret Escapes, The Cambridge Satchel Company and most recently YPlan and Raspberry Pi.
There were 13 categories open to companies that commenced trading less than four years ago. Covering every business area, these include Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Tech Business of the Year.
All of the winners are selected by a judging panel consisting of some of the UK’s top entrepreneurs which in the last couple of years has included, to name just a few, Cath Kidston MBE, Dragon’s Den dragon and founder of Moonpig co-founder and founder of DeVono Cresa – Robert Leigh.
